Two Seals Found

Yesterday two seals were found in Field D, both in the sift during balk removal.  The first was found by Chelsea Grimstad in D4.  It is an Ammonite seal made of stone, and featuring lunar and stellar symbols but no text.  The second seal was found by Scottie Baker in D1, it is made of quartzite and only half was found.  However this seal contains a personal name (likely mna) in paleo-hebrew script.  Hopefully both of these students will be posting soon with thoughts on their discoveries.

Also apologies for the lack of posts, the hotel’s router was hacked and we are just now getting it back up and running again.003Seal
